Leonida Tonelli (19 Nisan 1885 - 12 Mart 1946), Fubini teoreminin bir varyasyonu olan Tonelli teoremini oluşturmak ve varyasyonlar hesabında doğrudan yöntem için ortak bir araç olarak yarı süreklilik yöntemlerini tanıtmakla tanınan İtalyan bir matematikçidir.^[3]

Eğitim

Tonelli, 1907'de Bologna Üniversitesi'nden mezun oldu; Doktora derecesini Cesare Arzelà yönetiminde yazdığı tez ile almıştır.^[4]
