Linwood Vrooman Carter (São Petersburgo, 9 de junho de 1930 - Montclair, 7 de fevereiro de 1988) foi um prolífico autor americano de ficção científica e fantasia, bem como um editor, poeta e crítico. Ele geralmente escrever como Lin Carter; Um dos seus pseudônimos conhecidos incluem HP Lowcraft (uma alusão a H. P. Lovecraft) e Graal Undwin. Carter é bastante conhecido pelos fãs de espada e feitiçaria pelas histórias de Conan, o bárbaro e Kull da Atlântida de Robert E. Howard^[1] e por sua própria criação, Thongor of Lemuria.^[2]
