Abolisionisme di United Kingdom

Gerakan abolisionisme di United Kingdom bergiat pada hujung abad ke-18 dan awal abad ke-19 untuk menamatkan amalan perhambaan, sama ada rasmi atau tidak rasmi, di United Kingdom, Empayar British dan dunia, termasuk menamatkan perdagangan hamba Atlantik. Ia sebahagian daripada gerakan faham penghapusan yang lebih luas di Eropah Barat dan kedua-dua benua Amerika.

Membeli dan menjual hamba diharamkan di seluruh Empayar British pada tahun 1807, tetapi memiliki hamba dibenarkan sehingga diharamkan sepenuhnya pada tahun 1833, memulakan suatu proses di mana dari tahun 1834 hamba abdi menjadi "perantis" terikat kepada bekas pemilik mereka sehingga pembebasan tercapai untuk sebahagian besar hamba pada tahun 1840 dan untuk pengecualian yang tinggal pada tahun 1843. Bekas pemilik hamba menerima pampasan rasmi untuk kerugian mereka daripada kerajaan British, dikenali sebagai pembebasan terpampas.
