Pembantaian September

Pembantaian September adalah serangkaian pembunuhan tahanan di Paris yang terjadi dari 2–6 September 1792 pada masa Revolusi Prancis. Peristiwa tersebut berlangsung dari Minggu siang sampai Kamis sore. Charlotte Corday menganggap bahwa Jean-Paul Marat bertanggung jawab atas peristiwa tersebut, seperti yang dijelaskan oleh Stanley Loomis. Namun bagi Madame Roland, dalangnya adalah Georges Danton.[1][2] Danton juga dituduh oleh sejarawan Prancis Adolphe Thiers, Alphonse de Lamartine, Jules Michelet, Louis Blanc dan Edgar Quinet. Danton tampak tak melakukan apapun untuk menghentikannya.[3]
