Louis Gossett Jr.

Louis Cameron Gossett Jr. (27 Mei 1936 – 29 Maret 2024) adalah seorang aktor Amerika. Lahir di Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York City, ia melakukan debut panggungnya pada usia 17 tahun. Tak lama kemudian, ia berhasil mengikuti audisi untuk Broadway play Take a Giant Step. Gossett terus berakting di atas panggung dalam drama yang mendapat pujian kritis termasuk A Raisin in the Sun (1959), The Blacks (1961), Tambourines to Glory (1963), dan The Zulu and the Zayda (1965). Pada tahun 1977, Gossett muncul dalam miniseri Roots, yang mana ia memenangkan Aktor Utama Luar Biasa untuk Penampilan Tunggal dalam Serial Drama atau Komedi di Emmy Awards.
