Labranza
City in Cautín, Araucanía

Labranza is a small city located about half-way between Temuco and Nueva Imperial in southern Chile's Araucanía Region. It belongs to the commune of Temuco and is administered by the municipal government of that city. There are indigenous Mapuche communities near Labranza.[2] The first non-indigenous settlers arrived to the area between 1875 and 1880 and worked mainly producing wood for railroad sleepers as well for the emerging settlements in the region.[2][3]
Labranza is the site of the archaeological finding of Pre-Hispanic ceramics dating to about 1,000 BP.[4]
