Joseph Ray Townsell (born November 4, 1960) is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) and United States Football League (USFL).[1] He played for the New York Jets in NFL from 1985 to 1991. Previously, he played with the USFL's Los Angeles Express.
